Kedarnath
Kedarnath Temple is one of the Panch Kedar temples and is found in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. It is set against a stunning backdrop of snow-capped mountains and forests. A Shiva lingam with a conical shape, known as the hump of Shiva, is kept in the temple. It is situated 3,584 meters above sea level. Gaurikund is the starting point for the approximately 19-kilometer ascent that leads to the Kedarnath shrine. One can complete the trek in 6-7 hours.
Numerous people visit the Kedarnath temple, which is surrounded by the magnificent snow-capped Garhwal Himalayan peaks, every year.
