Kalpeshwar
Kalpeshwar, the fifth and last temple on the Panch Kedar pilgrimage circuit, is the only revered Panch Kedar temple that is open all year round. In this temple, Lord Shiva's matted hairs are revered. At Kalpeshwar (Kalpnath), the Panch Kedar trek comes to an end. Sagar hamlet is connected by motorable roads to Helang, which is located 58 km away and from there jeeps may be rented to Urgam. The temple is accessible from Urgam by a few kilometers of hiking trails.
The pilgrimage route to Kalpeshwar, where Lord Shiva is revered as matted hairs, passes through dense forests and verdant terrace fields. A historic Kalpvriksha tree, known as the wish-granting tree in Hindu mythology, is also located here.
